Winners of Old Forge Library poetry & illustration contest to be announced at reception, March 15

Winners and Honorable Mentions in the “Boundaries” Poetry and Illustration Contest at the Old Forge Library  will be announced during an Opening Exhibit Reception on Tuesday, March 15 at 7 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded by Emcee Michael Cunningham at the reception hosted by The Friends of the Old Forge Library.

Illustration and poetry entries were received from Herkimer, Oneida and Madison Counties and the Town of Inlet.

Participants whose poems and illustrations win or receive honorable mention in their categories will have an opportunity to read and/or discuss their work.

The judges for the poetry exhibit are Kathryn Howd Machon and Caperton Tissot.

The judges for the illustrations are Beverly J. Saunders and Linda Weal.

The “Boundaries” exhibit will be hung by the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

All entries will remain on display in the library wing through May 25th. If you are unable to attend the reception please stop by during library hours to vote for your favorite entry.
