The annual meeting for North Woods Community Center was held on Friday, January 27 at the Community Center on Crosby Boulevard in Old Forge.
The following directors were elected for the ensuing year: Janice Park, David Beck, Timothy Harwood, Carl Klossner, Brenda Dean, and Wayne Beckingham.
The slate of officers re-elected to their respective positions are: Jan Park, Chairman; Tim Harwood, Vice Chairman; Dave Beck, Treasurer; and Wayne Beckingham, Secretary.
A vacancy exists on the Board of Directors and the board seeks an interested community member willing to fill the position. Any individual willing to serve should contact one of the officers.
During the meeting the board also reviewed and accepted the auditor’s report. Besides the upcoming BBQ in February, spring/summer projects were discussed, noting the need to work on window areas around the basement exterior and the possibility of replacing the sidewalk along the north wall side.
A big thank you to The Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties and Wesley & Marion Small Foundation for the 2015 grant received for the Community Center to undertake and complete the exterior paint and trim work.
The Board was able to replace windows on the upper front and north side due to donations received.
