Vocalist Karen Oberlin returns to VIEW on Saturday, August 8

Karen Oberlin, an acclaimed singer of the Great American Song-book, will return to VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge, for a performance on Saturday, August 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Oberlin, who frequently entertains at the Algonquin, Café Carlyle, Feinstein’s, and 54 Below in New York City, will include popular tunes sung by Doris Day at her VIEW performance.

Hailed as one of premier interpreters of the Great American Songbook by both the New York Times and London’s Classical Source, Oberlin has been the recipient of both the Mabel Mercer Foundation’s most prestigious Donald F. Smith Award and an Honorary Doctorate in Music from Dix Hills Performing Arts Center/Five Towns College.

She was also a recipient of Nightlife Award for Jazz Vocalist of the Year and Bistro and MAC Awards.

Tickets for the performance are $35. Seating is limited. Advanced sale tickets are recommended.
