An open letter to our local community WPOA Annual Meeting to feature Legislators Russell and Bono

To all interested community members:

Webb Property Owners Association (WPOA) is trying a different approach this year in hopes of maximizing community participation at our upcoming Annual Meeting. Our  Officers and Board Members decided to hold it on a Saturday morning.

It has been scheduled for August 8 at 10 a.m. at Niccolls Memorial Presbyterian Church, 228 Crosby Blvd., Old Forge.

Our traditional Friday and Saturday meetings have tended to conflict with the many wonderful social opportunities on those evenings and families’ travel time to the Adirondacks.

The W.P.O.A. Annual Meeting is an opportunity to have input into the future of W.P.O.A. as well as learn about the most recent developments in the association and in Herkimer County government.

Light refreshments will be served and, as always, everyone in the community is welcome to attend.

Recently, on July 11, W.P.O.A. held its monthly open Board Meeting in Old Forge.

Following a brief business meeting, W.P.O.A. sponsored a ninety minute presentation about Assisted Living followed by a discussion and a question and answer period.

The topic of Assisted Living was brought to W.P.O.A. at an earlier Board Meeting by concerned individuals. They described our corridor as lacking assistance for senior citizens not wanting to leave their friends and their home area.

W.P.O.A. Annual Meeting guest speakers will be Herkimer County Legislator Patrick Russell and Chairman of the Legislature Jim Bono.

This is an opportunity to learn more about how our local representation is working for the Town of Webb residents and taxpayers.

This is another opportunity to ask questions and offer suggests and be heard.

Another agenda item will be the election of officers. Nominations will be accepted from the floor. There are positions available for anyone at least 18 years of age who would be interested in serving as Director on the W.P.O.A. Board.

Plan to attend the W.P.O.A. Annual Meeting, August 8, at 10 a.m. and learn more ways you can support your organization.

We need persons at least 18 years of age who are willing to help by becoming energetic members, Board Members/ Directors/ Officers.

The Officers and Directors of W.P.O.A. look forward to meeting you and listening to your ideas.

Thank you,

Jerry Rutherford

W.P.O.A Secretary
