The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is returning to Inlet on Friday, July 24 at 7:30 p.m., for a performance under the tent at Arrowhead Park.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the Inlet Information Office until 4 p.m. and the Old Forge Visitor Information Center until 4:30 p.m. the day of the concert.
Tickets will also be available at the door beginning at approximately 6:45 p.m.
The concert, now in its 17th year, is presented annually by the Fulton Chain of Lakes Performing Arts Council, Inc.
It will be conducted by RPO’s Music Director Ward Stare and will carry the patriotic theme of America the Beautiful.
“The RPO performance is a great event for the area, and I couldn’t be happier for the town, the local communities that support us, and the businesses that get to share their offerings with visiting musicians and concert-goers,” said Jerry Dupuis, FCLPAC spokesman.
General admission tickets are $30. Lawn space is available for $10 and listeners should bring their own chairs.
Additional information is available in Inlet by calling (315) 357-5501, and Old Forge at 369-6983.
The FCLPAC will also present a concert by the U.S.10th Mountain Division Army Band on Sunday, July 26 at 2 p.m. The concert will take place under the tent and is free of charge.
Open seating begins under the tent at 1:30 p.m. Security will be in force and no backpacks or large bags will be allowed on-site. Bag checking service will be provided. A free-will offering will be accepted to off-set the band’s transportation costs.
Dupuis invites all to come out in support of the 30-plus member stage band as it will be among one of their final state-side performances before their deployment to Afghanistan in September.
