Old Forge Library: Bluegrass band to perform at gazebo on July 24th

Cincinnati Creek

Old Forge Library invites all to enjoy live music on the library grounds on Friday, July 24 featuring bluegrass band, Cincinnati Creek.

Cincinnati Creek features seasoned musicians who have performed in New York state for many years.

In 2008, Lori Thompson, Chris Pepe, and Gary Dygert formed this new configuration, along with Cathy Martin, to carry on their  tradition of great music.

Based in the Adirondack foothills, they took their name from the creek that runs through the area.

They have performed at venues including Bluegrass Festivals, The Remsen Barn Festival, Utica Monday Night, The Adirondack Railroad, and numerous coffee houses and outdoor festivals.

The performance is part of the library’s “Meet Me at the Library Gazebo at 5” series and will take place from 5 to 7 p.m.

All are invited to bring a blanket or folding chair and enjoy the free open-air concert.

It is funded in part by New York State Council on the Arts: the Presenting Program.

The gazebo performances will be held the last Friday of the month throughout the summer at the library.
