The 25th Annual Antique and Classic Boat Show sponsored by the Adirondack Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society took place under sunny skies at the Old Forge lakefront on Saturday, July 11 with over 50 boats on display.

The event was co-sponsored by the Central Adirondack Association, Brooker’s Hardware and Lumber, Strand Theatre, Shelter, Water’s Edge Inn, Rivett’s Marine, Adirondack Bank, Water Safari/Enchanted Forest, T.A. Down Construction Co., DiOrio’s Supermarket, and Old Forge Camping Resort.
Awards were presented on Saturday night to the winners in the following classes:
Historic – The Hornick Family of Old Forge for “Echo,” a 1904 launch
Antique – Paul Conolly of Schroon Lake for “Juice,” a 1940 Chris Craft
Classic Utility – Joe Sabo of Tupper Lake for “Geraldine,” a 1945 U.S. Coast Guard whaleboat
Classic Runabout – The Uvanni Family of Penn Yan for “Shiloh,” a 1959 Chris Craft
Contemporary Classic – Ron Kilbourne of Oswego for “Paradox,” a 1994 Packard
Outboard – Jeanne Galvin of Richfield Springs for a Wolverine
Land Display – Sheila and Ron Cuccaro of Hague for “Oh Babe,” a contemporary reproduction
Exhibitors’ Choice – Joe Sabo of Tupper Lake for “Geraldine,” a 1945 U.S. Coast Guard whaleboat
The winner of the People’s Choice award was also Joe Sabo for “Geraldine.”
