Town of Webb senior Robin Yuckel, 18, has lived in Old Forge her whole life.
At the time of this interview she had not yet settled on a college, but is planning to study Accounting.
“I have always loved math, and I think I am pretty good at it,” she said.
Robin’s favorite classes are any of her math classes.
Her favorite teacher is Mr. Huntress. “He has always helped with everything and anything I am doing,” she said.
She has played soccer for Webb varsity team and is a member of Varsity Club.
She has also been a member of Key Club.
Outside of school, she enjoys hiking and canoeing trips with her family.
For low-exertion relaxation, she enjoys watching Vampire Diaries and Super Natural.
“I mostly just hang out with my friends, and I work at [my family’s business] Randy’s Restaurant,” she said.
She likes music but said she doesn’t favor any particular style. “I like it all,” she said.
Robin’s parents are Tina and Randy Yuckel, both of whom operate Randy’s Restaurant in Old Forge.
Tina also works as a secretary at the Town of Webb Codes Office.
She has one sibling, Kyle, who works at Kinney Drugs in Old Forge.
Robin said she has also been kind of self-directed in life, plotting her own course and figuring out ways to achieve her goals.
She has one dog, and one cat at home. “I will miss my cat a lot,” she said.
This summer, she plans on working at her family’s restaurant and may take a second job as well.
Robin is looking forward to graduation. “I am excited but nervous, too,” she said.
“I will miss how small the community is and how everyone looks out for each other.”
