Town of Webb senior Zakery Salmon, 17, started at Webb school during the middle of his senior year.
“I’ve been growing up here all my life,” he said.
In the fall, Zakery will be attending Mohawk Valley Community College to study Art.
“I chose that because I have always wanted to be a tattoo artist, and I really enjoy drawing… I just wanted that extra bump,” he said.
His favorite teacher is Mr. Cunningham. “He’s just really awesome,” he said.
Outside of school, Zakery enjoys listens to music and hanging out with friends.
“I draw a lot. I draw everything depending on that day,” he said.
He also plays video games.
Zakery has a preference for rap and heavy metal music.
Mike and Aimee Salmon are his parents.
Zakery has one sister, Lauren who currently attends Adiron-dack Central School in Boonville.
His dad has influenced him the most, he said.
“My dad was the one that really got me into tattoos,” he said.
Zakery’s plan for the summer included attending classes on nights and weekends.
He also plans to work a full time job and get situated for school.
“I’m hoping to be going to Ink Zone Tattoo to sit in on some tattoos,” he said.
“I’m going to miss the people I got to know in Old Forge,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to graduation and pursuing my dream of being a tattoo artist.”
