Michelle LaDue to continue volunteer efforts in Haiti

Michelle Haiti 12Michelle La Due M.S., L.Ac. Acupuncturist will return to Haiti for the fourth time on May 9 to act as a volunteer with the aturopathic arthquake Relief Clinic.

She will again be traveling with the Venerable Thupten Jimpa, a Haitian born Tibetan monk who helped found the Clinic following the devastating earthquake in 2010.

They are a small grassroots organization that has been offering natural remedies such as vitamins, herbs, essential oils, homeopathy, flower essences and acupuncture for the past five years. GetAttachment

They also work with local healers who perform massage, cupping and bone setting from their mobile clinic that visits orphanages, schools, and churches in the poorest neighborhoods of Port-au-Prince.

They anticipate treating 3,000 patients this May.

_56A2619_2People have expressed how much they love and appreciate the clinic because the treatments work and it keeps them in good health thereafter.

Donations of supplies are plentiful this year but there is still a critical need for money to pay the local crew and provide them with a meal, petrol for the jeep, a translator, and crowd control helpers.

All work by the non-Haitian crew is volunteered, and three dollars provides each patient with a complete comprehensive treatment that includes: herbal remedies for their physical and emotional needs, acupuncture, cupping, massage, and/or bone setting.
