Three Polar Bear Ski Club Nordic Youth skiers attended the New England Bill Koch Festival at the Mountain Top Resort in Pittsfield, VT on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 7 and 8.
Jens Bartel, Dawson Dunn and Kerissa Dunn were among the 438 competitors representing Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, New York and Washington who participated in the race—the largest of the season for youth skiers.
In the U10 Girls 2km Classic Race, Kerissa Dunn placed 36th in the field of 46 racers.
Jens Bartel came in 26th place and Dawson Dunn placed 46th among the 72 competitors in the U12 Boys 4km Classic Race.
There were 21 teams competing in the U10 Girls 3×2 km Skate Relay. The New York team of Kerissa Dunn (PBSC), Leach Shaffer (Rochester) and Ameilia Jordan (Rochester) took a 7th place finish.
In the U12 Boys 2×2 km Skate Relay, Jens Bartel and Dawson Dunn placed 21st in the 30-team field.
