Carter Lawrence
Polar Bear U-18 alpine skier Carter Lawrence competed at the Empire State Games in Lake Placid on Saturday and Sunday, February 7 and 8.
Lawrence placed fifth in Saturday’s giant slalom race which was reduced to a single run due to an afternoon power outage. He placed second in the slalom race on Sunday.
Because of his fine standings at the two-day race, he has advanced to compete in the U-18 State Championships at Gore Mountain on Saturday and Sunday, February 28 and March 1.
Lawrence is the sole Polar Bear U-18 alpine athelete competing this season.
