The Herkimer County Department of Motor Vehicles Satellite Office in Old Forge recently expanded its hours of operation and is now providing five days of service to area residents.
Herkimer County Clerk Sylvia Rowan said the reason to increase the previous three days of operation to the present five was to further enhance service to businesses and individuals, and to better accommodate snowmobile dealers and riders with registrations during the upcoming, busy snowmobile season.
Senior Motor Vehicle Clerk John Abdo remains on staff at a full-time capacity.
The office, located at 183 Park Avenue, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and is closed from noon to 1 p.m. The office can be reached at (315) 369-3301.
