Please support T.H.E. Loop by attending charity dinner, June 13

To the Editor:

Billy’s Italian-American Restaurant in Old Forge will be holding a charity dinner to benefit T.H.E. Loop on Monday, June 13. The seating times are 5 to 5:30 p.m. and 7 to 7:30 p.m. with 20% of all dinner sales donated to our cause.

T.H.E. (Touch, Heal, Empower) Loop is a motorcycle ride that was started in 2006. It began as a way to help people who have received the diagnosis of cancer.

It is always held on the first Saturday in October. This year the event will take place on Saturday, October 1 taking off from Mt. Sabattis Pavilion in Long Lake and traveling through the Heart of the Adirondacks.

All monies raised from T.H.E. Loop go 100% to help cancer patients in four local area centers, making this event unique.

The four centers that benefit from T.H.E. Loop are The Image Fund at C.R. Wood Cancer Center in Glens Falls; Julie’s Image Fund at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake; The Perfect Fit Boutique at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica; and Rosie’s Love – Friends of Children With Cancer out of Albany Medical Center.

T.H.E. Loop thanks Billy’s for giving this opportunity to raise monies. If you want to know your donation went directly to help a woman who has just lost her hair from chemo get a new wig, a patient getting supplies without worrying about how to pay for them, have a new DVD to watch while receiving a four-hour treatment (Image Funds at C.R.

Wood & AMC, and The Perfect Fit) or be delivered a meal on the holiday while in the Pediatric Oncology Department at Albany Medical Center (Rosie’s Love), giving to T.H.E. Loop will do just that.

Plus, you can enjoy a delicious meal at Billy’s!
