The 21st Annual Calypso’s Cove Charity Go-Kart Race took place on Tuesday, September 9 with a record amount of money raised during this local charity event.

This year’s total raised was $13,300, exceeding last year’s record-breaking amount of $12,600. Benefactors One Square Mile of Hope and Kids T Off will each receive $6,650 through the effort.
Thirty-six teams and 180 racers from Old Forge to Indian Lake competed for the coveted trophy in five races.

An additional 295 spectator admissions and 50/50 raffle contributed to the overall event fundraising.
The money was solely raised by community participation, which is a true accomplishment for the region.

First place in the race went to the Benny’s Ice Cream Team with 35 points, following closely behind was Heroux Construction in second place with 34 points. Third place went to the TOW Bar with 31 points.
