Anne and Rod Phinney, owners of Moose River Farm on Rondaxe Rd. in Old Forge, will host an Open House and Authors’ Fair at the farm on Saturday, August 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All are invited to stop by the free event to meet the animals featured in Anne’s book, Finding My Way to Moose River Farm, while visiting with area authors.
Joining Anne at the booksigning event are Gary VanRiper, co-author of The Adirondack Kids series of books, William Guiffre of Inlet, author of a number of children’s books, and Jeanne Selander Miller of Old Forge, author of a trilogy of memoirs.
The Phinneys share their farm with a menagerie that includes Vietnamese pot-bellied house pig, Fiona; Rosemary the three-foot-long iguana; miniature donkeys Bing and Frankie, a stable of horses, goats and dogs.
To get to Moose River Farm, turn onto Rondaxe Rd. from Route 28 and follow the signs.
