Forty artists have registered to paint in and around the Town of Webb for View’s 6th Annual Plein Air Paint Out which will take place throughout Labor Day weekend.
Beginning on Thursday, August 28, artists from all over New York and the northeast will come to paint the scenes, landmarks and characters found in Old Forge and its surrounding communities.
An auction of the 80 completed works, donated by the Plein Air artists, will begin at 5:30 p.m. at VIEW.
In addition to the auction there will be a Lei to Play Raffle of a basket filled with $1,400 in prizes.
The auction is free and open to the public.
The public is also welcome to stop by throughout the day on Saturday to see the featured exhibit, the Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors, and preview the completed paintings to be auctioned.
