Fourth Lake Property Owners Assn. to host annual meeting on Aug. 9th

The annual meeting of the Fulton Chain of Lakes Property Owners Association will be held on Saturday, August 9 at 10 a.m. at the Inlet Town Hall.

The Fourth Lake Property Owners Association (FLPOA) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization whose primary function is broadly educational. FLPOA restored, maintains, and operates the Shoal Point lighthouse as a guide to navigation and a symbol of the association.

It also keeps its members informed as it monitors commercial and private development around the shore and advocates and works toward responsible boating and other activities on Fourth Lake.

Although FLPOA cooperates with the Fulton Chain of Lakes Association, it does not, itself, monitor water quality.

FLPOA also works with the Adirondack Park Agency and local towns to encourage responsible business development on the lake.

Organization members have watched the sale of the Wood’s Inn to the Frey family and changes to the Holl’s Inn property in the past year.

FLPOA is considering an antiques show and sale at some point in the future which would also include appraisal services.

Contributions to the organization are welcomed. Call Jim Herschel at (315) 357-6866 for more information.
