Helen Dolan of Deerfield and Thendara, who was recently selected for promotion to Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, was officially sworn in at a ceremony held at the Old Forge Covey Pashley American Legion Post #893 on Thursday, July 24th.

Her father, Vincent Dolan, 3rd vice commander of the legion, had the honor of issuing her the oath and pinning her.
Lt. Commander Dolan is a family nurse practitioner employed at Mohawk Valley Endocrinology in Utica.
She is also the daughter of Catherine Dolan of Thendara.
