Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Inlet announces musical program for July 25th concert

The Fulton Chain of Lakes Performing Arts Council, Inc. has released the program line-up for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra performance under the tent at Inlet’s Arrowhead Park on Friday, July 25th.

Under the direction of Conductor Michael Butterman, the first half of the program will include La Gazza Ladra Overture (The Thieving Magpie) by Gioacchino Rossini. 

The selection will be followed by Concerto in D Major for Guitar & Orchestra, RV 93, Allegro giusto, Largo, Allegro by Antonio Vivaldi.

Capriccio Italien Op. 45 by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky will precede intermission.

The second half of the program features music that will be familiar to audience members of all ages. Roman Carnival Overture by Hector Berlioz will be followed by William Tell Overture: Andante & Allegro by Gioacchino Rossini.

Selections from South Pacific by Richard Rodgers and Hymn to the Fallen from Saving Private Ryan by John Williams, Armed Forces Salute Arr. Robert Lowden, and Hands Across the Sea March by John Philip Sousa will complete the performance.

The orchestra will be joined by special guest, guitarist David Steinhardt.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $30.

Prior to the event, a fundraising cocktail party will be held at The Woods Inn from 4 to 7 p.m.

Tickets are $110 and includes a variety of spectacular buffet selections, cocktails and preferred concert seating.

Teen tickets for music lovers ages 19 and under are available for $15 and lawn tickets are $10.

A free children’s concert featuring two quartets from RPO will be presented under the tent at 3 p.m. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
