He will be joined on stage by a quintet of acclaimed musicians:Mary Sugar, piano; Rob Robson, trumpet; Brian Scherer, reeds; Peter Allen, bass; and Doug DiGennaro on drums.

Ziobro, a 2014 graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School, will be studying theatre at Rider University in New Jersey this fall.

Influenced by Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, and Louis Armstrong, he began singing and performing at a young age in the choir and vocal jazz ensemble, in addition to working in theater and dance.

Ziobro, the grandson of Janet and Ed Weidman of Old Forge, debuted his new CD, A Lot of Livin’ To Do, at Birdland in New York City in May of this year.

Michael Feinstein was his guest that evening along with jazz greats Bucky Pizzarelli, Jay Leonhart, and Ray Marchica, who were also part of the CD.

When he made his New York debut at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency onstage with Michael Feinstein and Marilyn Maye last year, The New York Times praised him for “an easy swinging confidence and charm that suggested he could evolve into another Michael Bublé.”

Ziobro recently spent a year as the Youth Ambassador of the Great American Songbook under the tutelage of Michael Feinstein, a five-time Grammy nominated recording artist.

This friendship led Feinstein to produce Ziobro’s album.

“He has charisma, freshness, and charm, plus skill, taste and musical intelligence. Nick is a stellar vocalist and superb artist. It is evident that we’re going to hear much more from him in the coming years,” said Feinstein.

Ziobro also performed with the Pasadena Pops with Marvin Hamlisch, Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, The Nugget in Reno, the Cincinnati Pops at Riverbend Music Center, nd the Napa Valley Opera House.

He was invited to sing the National Anthem at an Indianapolis Colts football game in September 2012.

Ziobro also performed at the inaugural induction gala for the Great American Songbook Hall of Fame in June alongside Barry Manilow, Andrea McArdle, and Clay Aiken.
