The annual Secret Garden Tour sponsored by VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge will take place in Old Forge on Thursday, July 24th. The tour provides an opportunity to visit local gardens at private residences within a 10-mile radius.
Michele deCamp who has organized the Secret Garden Tour for several years has been busy choosing this year’s gardens of choice.
“The Secret Garden Tour allows the public to take in the beauty of some fantastic but hidden flower and vegetable gardens in our area,” said Michele deCamp, long-time organizer of the event. This year’s participants will tour six gardens.
The tour is open to all. Participants should meet at VIEW at 9:30 a.m. the day of the event, when the locations of the six gardens will be revealed. Participants can bring a lunch to enjoy at the final garden.
Rides can be shared or you can drive yourself to each location. Members of the Old Forge Garden Club will be on hand to answer questions at each garden. Participants can bring a lunch to enjoy at the final garden.
