Old Forge Legion groups install new officers

The Covey-Pashley American Legion Post 893 in Old Forge, the Sons of the American Legion, and the Ladies Auxiliary recently held an installation of officers for 2014 to 2015.

Legion Post 893 elected officers are: Commander Bill Ransom, 1st Vice Commander Bob Dibble, 2nd Vice Commander Mike Tigue, 3rd Vice Commander Vinnie Dolan, Adjutant Gai Barrett, Finance Officer George Meeker, Service Officer Eugene Melnyczuk, Chaplain Fred Ehrensbeck, Historian Tom Ryan, and Sergeant at Arms Lou Salin.

Sons of the American Legion Officers: Dennis Tofani, Bob Teesdale, John Tormey, Tim Centola and Lance Maly.

Sons of the American Legion officers are: Commander Lance Maly, 1st Vice Commander Tim Centola, 2nd Vice Commander Bob Teesdale, 3rd Vice Commander Bob Gates, Adjutant John Tormey, Chaplain Mike Pashley, Historian Dennis Tofani, Treasurer Joe Guido, Sergeant at Arms Robert Schueler, and Advisor James Foley.

Members of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, who held their election of officers on May 19, were also present at the dinner.

Auxiliary Officers: Lynda Kellogg, Arlene Bolmer, Linda Kurtz, Diane Tigue and Barb Winslow.

Officers elected to serve two-year terms were: President Barb Winslow, 1st Vice President Diane Tigue, 2nd Vice President Linda Kurtz, Secretary Arlene Bolmer, and Treasurer Lynda Kellogg.

Marion Gibson was appointed chaplain, Bev Meeker was appointed historian, and Judy Ehrensbeck will serve as Sergeant at Arms.
