VIEW: A Capella Choir to perform on Father’s Day

Tapestry, a Clinton-area a capella choir, will be performing in VIEW’s Gould Hall on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15 at 3 p.m. Tapestry.formal.resized

Also known as ‘The All-Centuries Singers,’ the group features veteran singers from the Central New York area who have classical choral experience. They are under the direction of G. Roberts Kolb, D.M.A., Professor of Music at  Hamilton College.

Founded in 1985, Tapestry performs polyphonic music, usually a capella, and specializes in music from the Renaissance, as well as the inclusion of original poetry by charter member Richard Frost.

The performance at VIEW will include music from the 14th through 20th centuries.

Aside from his Hamilton County professorship, Kolb has also been active in the Central New York music scene.

He has been the musical director for the Hartford Players Youth Theatre and Rome Summerstage numerous times and has also performed on stage.

Tickets are $10/$5 for members and students. Fathers will be admitted free with one paid admission.
