Kiwanians & Key Clubbers ready town benches for the warm weather season

As another sign of spring’s emergence, the benches along Main Street in Old Forge have been refurbished by Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks members and the Town of Webb School Key Club.

Under the direction of Key Club Advisor Diane Amos, the benches were sanded and painted in preparation for assembly.

They will be placed along Main Street prior to Memorial Day to offer visitors an opportunity to sit and rest.

Tom Smedley and Chris Kraft, co-chairs of the Main Street Bench Project, thanked the Key Club members for their work, ACE Hardware of Old Forge for donating the stain, and Tony Harper’s for the pizza lunch.
