St. Paddy’s Parade Committee says thanks

The annual Central Adirondack Association’s St. Paddy’s Parade Committee would like to thank all the entries this year, all the spectators that were part of the record-breaking crowd, and all the communities in our area that helped make this possible.

Special thanks to Ron, Eileen, Erin and Sean Hamlin for being our Grand Marshals, and for being very special this year to so many fans of the Olympics.

We also would like to send a shout-out to our guest judges, George Hiltebrant, Debbie Crandall and Michelle and Michael Deangelo. Thank you to our announcers Nick Bankert, Jeff Craig, and Gary Staab, who finally came up with a new joke this year.

As always, our parade would not be complete without Assemblyman Marc Butler, Senator Hugh Farley, Herkimer County Legislators Jim Bono, Pat Russell and the rest of this crew, and our local representatives on the Town of Webb Board. It was also nice to have U.S. Congressional candidates Elise Stefanik and Matt Doheny in our parade.

We would also like to thank Gloria Bolton, Eileen McCann, Margaret Vandelinder, and Charlie and Kelsey Kiefer for serving food after the parade at the very gracious and important Old Forge Fire Department.

We would like to acknowledge Patty Foley for donating loaves of her famous Irish soda bread, and CAP-21 and Walt’s Diner for the sandwich breads, cold cuts and salad.

It was a great parade this year because of all of you and we truly appreciate your participation. See you next year.

Sincerely,

Chip Kiefer & Katie Boesché; Tim & Patty Foley
