In her new role as executive director, Harris will also be responsible for overseeing programming, hiring new staff, helping keep ALCA financially healthy and working closely with the Board.

According to the board—which unanimously appointed her to the position—ALCA members greatly appreciate that she has remained tactful, warm and sociable while displaying a welcome enthusiasm for the performing arts, and, more so, the Arts Center.

Harris graduated with a BA in History in 2011 from St. Lawrence University and completed her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at SUNY Potsdam in 2012.

“I’m determined to make the Arts Center even better this year. My husband and I love the area and have recently bought a house. I’m very committed,” she said.
