ArtSpeak is a new series of artist-led discussions on the creative and intellectual impulses that drives the individual artist’s work and research.

It will begin at 12:30 p.m with the luncheon and Carson’s program.

A guided tour of View’s LEED Silver-certified facility will follow at 2:30 p.m.

Carson, of Brockport, is an educator with the Visual Arts Department at SUNY Brockport.

He has shown his work in solo and group exhibitions throughout the country and has received awards from the Memorial Art Gallery, The New York Foundation for the Arts and The New York State Council on the Arts.

His Yardwork exhibit examines the yard as a space where one sees and accepts that the attempt to achieve order is always negotiated under the never-ending process of decay, growth, and change.

For planning purposes, please RSVP to info@viewarts.org or (315)369-6411 ext. 201.
