The School of the Old Forge Ballet Company announces Winter/Spring registration for new classes for beginners and students with previous training in Musical Theatre-Tap & Jazz, Ballroom, Introduction to Ballet and Children’s Ballet and Tap.
Regular ongoing classes also have room for new students. Classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Lower Level Company Ballet Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and Upper Level Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Pri-Primary Ballet for children ages three and four is held on Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m.
Primary Children’s Class for ages five to eight years is held on Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m.
An additional new Primary Class with Tap is held on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Beginner Ballet for pre-teen to adults is held on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Tap & Jazz and Ballroom classes for students eight years to adult will be scheduled at the students’ convenience.
Tuition is $6 per hour for children and $8 per hour for adults.
Couples taking Ballroom can take the hour together for $12.
Classes are for male and female students.
The staff of instructors includes: Sue Ann Lorenz-Wallace, Director of the School and Artistic Director and President of the Company and Linda Lorenz LaDue, Associate Artistic Director and Vice-President of the Company.
Teachers have extensive training in Classical Ballet, Tap and Jazz and Ballroom.
Preparation for the “Nut-cracker” ballet 2014 presented at the Strand Theatre is underway and this is a good time to begin training if you want to perform.
The School of the Old Forge Ballet Company resides on the second floor of the North Woods Community Center at 110 Crosby Blvd. in Old Forge.
