We fast are approaching election day on November 5th and as we all must, I have to make a decision on who I will vote for in this watershed election for our town.
Parker has a vision for Forestport. He has shared this vision and his ideas during his campaign, and as importantly, he continues to demonstrate the desire, knowledge and energy needed to deal with the pressing issues confronting our town.
During the past two years, Parker has shown the interest and willingness to get involved.
He spent substantial personal time working on town events and other town initiatives.
He has attended numerous board meetings, offered the town board his assistance, and was instrumental in getting our Twin Bridges completed.
Parker has spent the time doing an in-depth review of our town budgets, and then comparing our costs to other town budgets within Oneida and Herkimer Counties.
He met with a number of town officials to get more background on their respective towns and the numbers he has used are from last year’s budgets. Those numbers do not reflect this year’s budget figures.
We will finalize this year’s budget numbers at the November 20th Town Board meeting.
Parker has shown the knowledge and ability to identify and focus on the important issues of our town.
He has a good working knowledge of our budget issues.
Additionally he also has the desire, energy and determination necessary to do what is best for our town.
I will be voting for Parker on November 5th.
I have enjoyed working with him these last three years.
