A New York State Department of Health Basic EMT class will be offered in Blue Mountain Lake beginning on Thursday, September 5th.
Sponsored by Hamilton County, the classes will be conducted on Monday and Thursday evenings by lead state instructor David Berkstresser, EMTP, CIC.
According to Berkstresser this will be both an original and a refresher class, so if you have ever held an EMT card in NY State at any time you may take portions of this class to renew your certification.
The state final practical skills and written exams will be held on March 15 and 20, 2014.
Berkstresser said this will more than likely be the only course offered in the North Country for a year or two.
