Robert William Cooley 77, of Eagle Bay and formerly of Neptune City, NJ passed away on Monday August 12, 2013 at his home in Eagle Bay, NY.
He was born on September 15, 1935 in Neptune, NJ a son of the late Ray and Emily (Veerland) Cooley. He was a graduate of Manasquan High School in Neptune City, NJ. He served his country with honor in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Robert was employed with the Jersey Central Power and Light Company, retiring after many years of dedicated service. After his retirement Robert moved to Eagle Bay where he established his permanent residency.
He was a member of the Old Forge American Legion Post # 893. He was a Master Carpenter and also enjoyed planting flowers.
Funeral services were private. Interment was in the Riverview Cemetery in Old Forge
Arrangements were entrusted to the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 128 Fern Ave. in Old Forge.
