Raquette Lake Crafts Fair slated August 10

The Raquette Lake Parents Teachers and Friends will sponsor the 23rd Annual Arts and Crafts Fair at the Raquette Lake School on Rt. 28 on Saturday, August 10th.

The juried show will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with all items displayed for sale the work of the exhibitor on-site, the majority of who reside in the Adirondack Park.

Adirondack artists exhibiting their work includes Fawn Ridge Pottery of Chestertown and South Bay Jewelry of Raquette Lake. Lis Barsuglia-Madsen will return with her hand woven clothing, rugs and accessories.

David “RC” Oster’s award-winning pen and ink drawings of historic buildings and Adirondack scenes, Sid Ward’s cutting boards, hand woven baskets, home made jams and jellies and homemade fudge will also be available for sale.

There will be a Chinese raffle with items donated by the exhibitors and the drawings  at 3:30 p.m. You need not be present to win. North Country Life Flight, a not for profit free critical care flight service which serves the Adirondacks, will be the beneficiary of the raffle.

The show will take place rain or shine.
