Patrick H. Venetz, founder of the Freedom March of the Adiron-dacks, presented a check in the amount of $1,200 to Commander Bill Ransom of Covey-Pashley American Legion Post 893, to go toward the post’s Wounded Warrior program.
The money was raised through this summer’s Freedom March, and the check was presented at the Post 893’s July 11th meeting in Old Forge.
Post 893 lends ongoing support to wounded servicemen through the Wounded Warrior project, according to Commander Ransom.
