Sailors compete in 5th weekend of Fourth Lake racing

The Central Adirondack Sailing Association (CASA)  held its fifth weekend of races of the 2013 season on Fourth Lake on Saturday, July 27th.

Due to very windy conditions, the races were moved to the southwest end of the lake, but the sailors still struggled with the gusty winds throughout both races.

Mark Steigerwald and John Jeffery continued with their consistently strong results capturing two second place finishes for the day.

Tom P. McCabe with rookie crew Sam Carletta and Liam McKenna finished the day with a first place and a fifth place.

Nate Wilsey with crew Tod Marder also had a first place as well as a fourth place finish. Wayne and David Menz raced for a third and fourth place and Paul Wilsey with crew Butch Hartsig had a fourth and fifth place.

Chris and Andy Eichar with Al Fraser captured two sixth place finishes for the day.

Sailboat races will be held every Saturday at 3 p.m. on Fourth Lake through August 17th. All sailboats are welcome, especially sunfish.
