The Strand Theatre in Old Forge is in the process of converting to digital projection.

The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks has a promotion that is shown prior to a number of  movies that are currently shown at the Strand which needs to be converted to the digital process.

To aid with the costs related to the conversion process, the Kiwanis Club recently donated $500 to the Strand.

During the year, The Strand hosts many community events, including the annual Kiwanis Christmas for Kids movie.

“The Kiwanis Club is pleased to assist in the conversion process. We are appreciative of the community service provided by Bob Card and Helen Zyma, owners of The Strand, and the exceptional community service that they provide,” said Kiwanis President Jim Connerty.
