Water Safari offering learn to fly trapeze experience to park guests

Trapeze Try It

The Enchanted Forest Water Safari and the Flying Cortes circus troupe are offering an opportunity to park guests to try the flying trapeze. Weather permitting, immediately following each circus show guests can experience what it is like to be their own star and fly 30 feet in the air on the trapeze.

Ticket cost of the unique experience is $15.

“This is a chance in a lifetime for someone to experience something they might not otherwise get the opportunity to do,” said vice president and director of marketing Katie Wojdyla.

Guests are strapped to a harness system, and climb a ladder to reach the platform where two members of the Flying Cortes are waiting to assist and walk them through the entire process.

The all new family circus show performs twice daily at noon and 4 p.m. featuring the Fabulous Flying Cortes on the trapeze, Alida Michele on the cloud swing, Miss Ysabella performing amazing feats of agility with hula hoops and the Great Sebastien on the trampoline.

With their combination of tricks, the Flying Cortes from Columbia, South America, is the only trapeze act in the world to utilize the third tier or top bar of the trapeze, above the regular trapeze swings.

“It’s a truly amazing act not to be missed. We have never seen a trapeze act like this before in the park’s history—it is definitely world class,” Wojdyla said.

Enchanted Forest Water Safari is open daily through Labor Day, September 2.  For more information or to buy tickets online, visit www.WaterSafari.com.
