Second grader Dominic Aliasso with Jim Tilley and Bill Ransom
In observance of Flag Day, Commander Bill Ransom and Past Commander Jim Tille of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Old Forge Post 9314, paid a visit to Tracy Down’s second grade class at the Town of Webb School on Friday, June 14.
During the program, they recited patriotic poems, led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and spoke to the class about the history of the flag.
The children were given flags of their own as well as a Flag Day Certificate.
The program was also attended by kindergarten and first grade students as well as many parents.
