A legislative package has been introduced in Albany to amend and repeal portions of the NY-SAFE Act, according to an announcement made by State Senator James Seward (R/C/I – Oneonta) and Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi (D-Utica) on March 2.
Two years have passed since the enactment of the governor’s NY-SAFE Act, yet there is no tangible evidence that the law has increased safety, according to the two state legislators. Continue reading
