VIEW Members welcome all to join new Quilt Club

VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge, is forming a new quilt club that will promote traditional and modern quilting.

Interested quilters—from beginners to experienced—are invited to a meeting on Saturday, November 1 at 10 a.m. to share ideas, projects, answer questions, and explore techniques to improve quilting skills. Continue reading

VIEW: 28th Quilts Unlimited Exhibition to open with Friday, Oct. 10 reception

The 28th Quilts Unlimited Exhibition will open with a preview reception at VIEW on Friday, October 10th.

The reception, held from 5 to 7 p.m., is open to the public and will include light fare and live music by Dan Vellone.

The exhibit will feature over 60 quilts, ranging from traditional to contemporary styles.

Opening weekend festivities continue on Saturday with a 10 a.m. lecture by members of the Adirondack Regional Textile Artists’ Alliance (ARTAA). Continue reading
