Library sets Open Mic Night, May 21st

The Old Forge Library will host an Open Mic Night for Writers in a Coffee House setting on Wednesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Featured reader and emcee will be Jeanne Selander Miller, the author of three memoirs.

The public is welcome to share and read from their own work or to come and enjoy the readings of others.

For planning purposes, anyone interested in participating is asked to call the library at (315) 369-6008, though walk-ins are welcome.

The event is co-sponsored by The Adirondack Center for Writing and the Old Forge Library.

Library hosting writers open mic night, Aug. 17

The Old Forge Library will host an Open Mic Night for Writers on Wednesday, August 17 at 7:30 p.m.

The event will be presented in a Coffee House setting and will be emceed by Paula Roy, director of this year’s Writers’ Workshops. 

The public is invited to come and enjoy readings by Writers’ Workshops participants, and are also welcome to share and read from their own work.

For planning purposes, anyone interested in participating is asked to call the Library at (315) 369-6008.

Future Open Mic Nights are planned for November and February. The readings are held to inspire writers and create opportunities for regional writers to meet.
