Eagle Bay: Thanks to all for successful tree lighting party

The Eagle Bay community once again came together to hold its annual, old fashioned, Tree Lighting Ceremony at the community Christmas tree located on the side of the new Eagle Bay Welcome Center  at the corner of Big Moose Rd. and Rte 28 in Eagle Bay.

This annual yuletide event, sponsored by the Eagle Bay Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Town of Webb was held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 7th.

Traditional Christmas caroling around the live Christmas Tree led by Andi and Ray Smith was a big hit with the crowd and was then followed by the traditional push-of-the-switch which lit up the beautiful, huge, Christmas tree.

Eagle Bay tree lighting slated

The Eagle Bay Tree Lighting ceremony will take place at the new Welcome Center at the corner of Route 28 and Big Moose Rd. on Saturday, December 7 at 5:30 p.m.

Christmas caroling around the community Christmas tree will be followed by the tree lighting. Once the tree is lit, all are invited to enjoy refreshments and bring a dish to pass for a pot luck supper at the Eagle Bay Fire Hall.

Eagle Bay Tree Lighting Party set December 7th

The Town Of Webb and the Eagle Bay Fire Department Ladies Auxiliaries will kick-off the yuletide season with a Tree Lighting Party on Saturday, December 7.

The event will begin  at 5:30 p.m. at the new Eagle Bay Welcome Center located at the corner of Big Moose Rd. and Rte. 28.

Christmas caroling around the community Christmas tree will be followed by the tree lighting.

Once the tree is lit, all are invited to enjoy refreshments and a pot luck supper at the Eagle Bay Fire Hall.

Penny Beach and Bonnie Amidon, co-chairs of the event, request that participants bring their appetites and a dish to pass.

Santa Claus has promised to stop by and bring gifts for all the good little kids in attendance, so anyone who will be bringing along a child is asked to call 390-4006 ASAP and let Santa’s helper know how many will attend.
