Legion Post 893 honors Veterans

The Veteran’s Day Ceremony in Old Forge was conducted on Monday, November 11 from the porch of Covey-Pashley American Legion Post 893 in Old Forge.

The gathering of spectators was welcomed by Master of Ceremonies Mike Farmer. The program included a recognition of area war

veterans and those presently serving, a three-shot volley by the rifle squad, and Taps played by legion member Lance Maly. A luncheon at the legion hall followed.

Barnstormers Club to meet November 19

The Inlet Barnstormers Snowmobile Club will meet at the Inlet Town Hall on Tuesday November 19 at 7 p.m. New members are always welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Holiday Concert: VIEW to present Kolb Family on Saturday, Nov. 30

Rob Kolb, Lauralyn Kolb, David Kolb, and Katrina Schell, will present a Christmas concert at View’s Gould Hall on Saturday, November 30 at 3 p.m.

Known throughout the Mohawk Valley as the Kolb Family, they are acclaimed in voice and choir mastery.

Rob Kolb is Director of Choral Activities and is the Conductor Masterworks Chorale at Hamilton College.

Additionally he is a contributing author of several publications and past conductor of the Syracuse Vocal Ensemble and the Cayuga Vocal Ensemble.

Outside of his academic and college choir touring schedule, he enjoys performing with his family and delighting audiences throughout New York state, including View where they will present a program of holiday favorites. Continue reading
