Let’s tell the truth in Forestport

Parker Snead is still misleading the voters of Forestport by claiming that I have over-budgeted in the Highway Department’s budget by $300,000 compared to the Towns of Boonville and Webb.

This is not true! I have spoken to both supervisors of the Town of Webb and Boonville—their highway budgets are $1 million-plus.

In the matter of the Town Health Insurance, Mr. Snead claims the cost to be over $270,000—not true! The budget for 2014 is $220,000 even with the two percent increase for the year.

He does not tell you that there is a rebate on Medicare and the family plans that reduces the total cost by about 20 percent.

These are only a couple of misleading facts that he has stated.

Mr. Snead, let’s tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

William Hasenauer

Forestport Supervisor
