Old Forge: Water’s Edge Inn plans Girls’ Night Out event for April 27

Water’s Edge Inn and Conference Center in Old Forge will be the site of a 24-hour event that will offer ladies an opportunity to escape the stress of everyday life and enjoy fun with friends.

Girls Night Out will begin Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m. and will feature on-site vendors and services, music and dancing, and a whole lot of female camaraderie.

Beth Tickner, conference and events coordinator of Water’s Edge, is the force behind the event.

She said she was inspired by Amy’s Slumber Party, an event hosted at the Doubletree Hotel in Syracuse by Amy Robbins, a 93Q radio host.

Now in its 10th year, the party draws upwards of 1,600 ladies for a weekend of female-bonding.

The Water’s Edge gathering will be on a much smaller scale, Tickner said.

While vendors and aesthetic service providers will be on-site, ladies can take the show down the road on Saturday night to Gigi’s Bar & Grill for food, music and dancing.

Free shuttle service will be provided by the Water’s Edge.

The cost is $200 per room or suite which includes event admission and overnight accommodations for up to four women per room/suite.

Each guest will also receive a tiara, a Girls’ Night Out wristband, a drink coupon for Gigi’s, a late-night snack, and a hot continental breakfast on Sunday.

Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate and at least 21 to consume alcohol.

Reservations can be made by calling Water’s Edge at (315) 369-2484.
