Great Camp Sagamore hosting Community Appreciation Day, June 19

The annual Community Appreciation Day at Great Camp Sagamore will be held Sunday, June 19.

Free tours of the historic camp will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m.

The tours start from the Gift Shop.

Tour parking is available in the designated lot.

A brunch prepared by Executive Chef John Pitoniak and Sous Chef Amanda Youker, with assistance by Paul Smiths College intern Jeff Groski and kitchen aide Heidi Woodward will be served at the Dining Hall.

There will be a seating at noon and another at 1 p.m.

The menu will include: egg strada, link sausage, macaroni and cheese, spring vegetables, green salad, tomato soup, breads, coffee, tea, milk, juices, and chocolate dessert.

The cost of the brunch is $10 when reserved ahead of time, or $15 at the door. Reservations can be made by calling (315) 354-5311 ext. 21.

Daily tours of Great Camp Sagamore, which dates back to 1897, begin Saturday, June 25.

Tours are available at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Great Camp Sagamore is located four miles south of Rte. 28 in Raquette Lake.
