Father/son team Bill and Shawn Corrigan got a head start on Forestport’s upcoming Christmas celebration, leading informal carols during Old Forge’s An Adirondack Christmas on Main Street event last weekend.

Forestport’s festivities on Sunday, December 2 will include wagon rides with Santa, gifts, caroling, photo opportunities with Christmas characters, a lighted parade and a tree lighting.

Hot drinks and sweets will be provided at the Community Hall next to Memorial Park from 3 to 7 p.m. where there will also be guest appearances by Ebenezer Scrooge and Holly My Dolly.

Watercolors, oils and pen and ink artwork by local artist Connie Smith will be on display in the storefront directly opposite the park. All are invited to attend.
