Graveside service held for Howard G. Phillips, 72

 Howard G. Phillips, 72, of Inlet, died on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare.

He was born on April 10, 1940, in Chardon, OH, a son of the late Frank and Ercie Bennett Phillips.

He attended school to be an Electronic Technician and mechanical training for Mercury Engines.

He married Ruth Hosack on September 3, 1976, in Chardon, OH.

Howard and his wife Ruth owned and operated the Inlet Marina since May of 1982.

With his free time he enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and Harley Davidson and he also loved to travel, hunt and fish.He is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughters, Terrie Adams and her husband, Chad of Roaming Shores, OH and Sandra Kleps and her husband, Gordon of Geneva, OH; stepson, Joseph Meiner and his fiance Patricia Spraker of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Max Adams, Aaron Kleps and Amanda Kleps; sisters, Virginia Buck and her husband, Fred and Shirley Hunter; brother, Ray Phillips. He was predeceased by his brothers, Warren and Paul Phillips.

The family would like to thank Faxton St. Luke’s Health-care for all the kind care and comfort that was given to Howard.

A graveside service was held on October 15 in the Riverview Cemetery, Old Forge. Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home of Old Forge was in charge of the arrangements.

Friends may consider the American Lung Association or the Inlet Volunteer Emergency Services, P.O. Box 300, Inlet, NY 13360 in memory of Howard.
