Patrick Ferrick will offer an informational presentation on meteor showers and general astronomy at the Park Avenue Building in Old Forge on Friday, August 12 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
That same evening all are invited to meet Ferrick at the former landfill site on the Bisby Road in Old Forge to watch the meteor showers and satellites.
“Watching meteors is a lot like watching fireworks,” Ferrick said. “Dress the same and bring whatever else you need to be comfortable on the ground for an extended period of time.”
