Webb Town Board: Various topics considered at Tuesday’s meeting

Among the business addressed by the Town of Webb Board on Tuesday, June 12, the board considered a request by Don Haehl, who is seeking permission to access his property through the town’s new parking lot at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street in Old Forge.

Haehl’s property is adjacent to the town property.

The board was collectively hesitant for a number of reasons including the likelihood that heavy trucking equipment would be using the access.

Additionally, attorney Richard Frye advised that more specific details of the request were needed before the board could act.

In other business, Kathy DeVincenzi notified the board that she intended to retire from the Town of Webb Planning Board at the end of her current term. Her service has spanned a total of 11 years, according to Supervisor Ted Riehle.

Many on the board had occasion to work with Kathy and acknowledged her admirable dedication and capability. The entire board thanked her for her service to the Town of Webb.

The codification update to the Town of Webb Ordi-nance is still in progress with a meeting of the full board and attorney Frey scheduled for July 2nd.

Supervisor Riehle reminded the public and the board that McCauley bids will be solicited and received soon.

Chris Gaige of the Kiwanis Youth Activity Center (KYAC) reported to the board on efficiency changes being adopted at the center.
